Ribbon Cutting at Uptown Forum
Uptown Forum is celebrating it's 40th Anniversary on Saturday, October 20 from 9:30-3:30 with a day of Art & Music. The day will have a 70's vibe to celebrate the era when it was transformed from a former department store into the fascinating place it is today. From 9:30-3:30, enjoy an art show featuring the works of well-known and emerging local artists. Five musicians, emceed by Dennis Strickland, will perfom 70's music on the Uptown Forum front porch. Carly and Jana with Terlingua Rose Photography will set up a Fall and Halloween scene and will offer mini photo sessions at only $25. Bring your kids in costume or wear your best 70's attire. A Ribbon Cutting will be held at 10:00 am and a beautiful anniversary cake will be served. All retail locations will be open during the celebration and Pizzo's Sicilian Cafe will open at 9 am to serve a special breakfast panini and Greek yogurt with frest fruit. Stop by for a few minutes or spend the whole day!
