Hunt County Days is a Greenville Chamber of Commerce event, inclusive of the entire County, occurring every odd numbered year in conjunction with the State Legislature in Austin. Everyone-including citizens, leaders, councils, mayors, superintendents, utility districts, taxing entities and intrested parties-is invited to go as a group by bus or car to visit our state representatives, to learn about the processes and to speak to various state agencies focusing on the needs of Hunt County. Topics of discussion will be relevant to Hunt County issues.
Participants tour the State Capital, are recognized on the House and Senate floor and attend meetings with State agencies. As a group, participants enjoy some of Austin's finest cuisine. There is also time built in to enjoy some of the wonderful amenities Austin has to offer surrounding the downtown area.
Topics of Interest include: Economic Development, Education K-12, Education-Higher Education/Community College, Healthcare, Infrastructure, Taxation, Tourism and Transportation.
